Phil Klein is the founder of Klein & Associates, a trusted executive leadership coaching and consulting practice, working with CEOs to scale and grow their organizations. He launched focus412, an initiative dedicated to equipping leaders to grow the church with an emphasis on people, culture, systems, and strategy.
His history of accomplishments includes:
- Over 30 years of executive experience leading large organizations within fortune 500 companies like Time Warner and AT&T, holding positions including Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, and Chief Technology Officer.
- Executive partner of a $400M telecommunications start-up company in the Carolinas
- Executive of a privately funded technology start-up in Washington, DC
- Founding partner of John Maxwell’s coaching team
- Certified leadership coach, trainer, and speaker
- Attended the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program
Most notably, Phil was an executive leader at Elevation Church. He was responsible for campuses, small groups, family ministry, students, volunteers, and leadership development.
He saw the opportunity to take his church experience, business, and leadership insight to help transform the leadership landscape in America through the local church.

In 2014, Phil Klein heard from God:

"Raise the lid of leadership in the church and the church will grow."

At first, his dream to develop a fruitful leadership pipeline remained within the few churches he was privileged to work with. The calling quickly grew larger than that. Phil saw a need to ensure that churches and leaders were healthy first. And thus, the vision of focus412 was born.

The "f" in focus412 is always lowercase. This is intentional, as the role we play is never bigger than the story we are a part of. This is God's Church and we have the privilege to partner with leaders who desire to see His Kingdom come and His will be done.
